Shoes of the Week 06/02/13 - Evans Colourblock Platform Courts

Hi Guys

This weeks been busy again but in a musical way.

A couple of friends from uni got together recently and decided to have a jam to see what we sounded like. I played the drums for about 5 years in high school and dabbled a bit with them in college before they got put into storage. This was the first time I sat behind a kit in almost 2 years and I loved it. Within the space of 2 weeks our jam group had turned into a band with a gig booked for Sat 2nd Feb at a local pub.

After 8 hours of crazy practise during Saturday day we had a set list prepared and headed to set up. Sound check went well and before we knew it it was our turn on stage. The gig went brilliantly and we had a few supporters who came to see us perform for the first time. We celebrated with a well deserved pint and by Sunday it felt like a dream.

The rest of this week has been taken up with work as I try and get ahead before my lovely Mother comes and visits next weekend. I can't wait to show her around the sights and catch up.

This weeks shoes are inspired by an email I received by Evans showing off some familiar faces in their latest collections. Check out Beth (www.archedeyebrow.com) , Georgina ( www.fullerfigurefullerbust.com) and Callie (http://www.fromthecornersofthecurve.com/) modelling the Scarlett and Jo collection.

My shoes of the week are Evans Colourblock Platform Courts

Eye catching ? Check ! Bold ? Check ! Fabulous ? Check !

Offering a style revamp to your work wardrobe in cobalt and black these shoes are designed to get you noticed.

Featuring a 7 cm (2.7") heel and wide fitting Evans have stuck true to comfort without compromising on style. The cute bow print lining adds a playful element to an otherwise serious court shoe.  The contrasting toecap and heel help lengthen your legs and minimise your feet , offering an easy way to get a slimmer look and a small platform at the front gives you the perfect balance.

They also come in a neon colourway (shown below) which still offer eye catching style but with less of a shock.

At £35 you can't go wrong but you will have to be quick as they are selling out fast.

Overall I give 8/10 - fabulous shoes at a decent price
