You're A Wizard Harry ! (Photo Heavy Post)

Hi guys

This post has been sat in my waiting to be published folder for a while now so I thought it was about time you actually got to see what we got up to when we went on  the Warner Brothers Studio Tour in London.

*SPOILER ALERT*

This post contains pictures from the Harry Potter studios. If you wish to see them for yourself and be surprised then look away now.

Still here ?

Then welcome to the wizarding world of Harry Potter ...

We took a train from London Euston to Watford Junction and from there we got the shuttle bus ran by the studio. The bus cost £1.50 for a single trip or £2 return and it was decorated with promotional pictures on the outside. Once on board a dvd plays to help transform you from muggle to magic.

20 mins later you arrive at the studio

You have to queue up to collect your tickets and the website advises you get to the studio 45 mins before your tour is due to start. This is because at busy times it may take this long to collect your tickets and get inside. Luckily we went on a Wednesday during term time so the place was pretty quiet.

On inside you are greeted by a few props and pictures:

We had 20 minutes to kill before our tour was due to start so we checked out the shop.

I didn't think to take a picture of the actual shop but it was AMAZING ! The prices were also reasonable on most of the items.

I picked up a Ravenclaw scarf for £25 to wear on the way around.

(Excuse the mad tired look- I hadn't been sleeping very well at this point)

We then headed for our tour. Here are some highlights ...

The end of the tour actually leads you back out to the shop where we all purchased a few souvenirs. We had spent about 3 hours going around the sets but I would recommend leaving a little bit longer if you are a big Harry Potter Fan because there is just so much to see and do.

I had a great time and felt you definitely got value for money.

Hope you are all well

Apologies & Shoes of the Week 27/03/13 - Black Pastry Sugar Rush

Hi guys

First of all I want to say I'm sorry that I haven't posted in so long. My family has been going through some difficult times and I have been busy trying to deal with moving out/ back from London and keeping everyone in the loop.

However, most of this has been sorted now and my lovely friends have been great and really helped me through. I did go to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour to see all things Harry Potter and it was amazing ! I will try to post some pictures later this week of our trip. I also visited London Zoo later on in the week with some friends from Uni which was great fun but I didn't get many pictures as my camera died half way through.

This weeks shoes are brand new for this week at Schuh and I love them.

My shoes of the week are Black Pastry Sugar Rush

Who needs biker boots when you have these for trainers ?

Featuring spikes , studs , zips and chains these shoes are not to be messed with. A black man made upper rests on the traditional white rubber sneaker sole. They are also convertible as they have popper studs along either side of the shoe and on the tongue which means you can fold them down so you get 2 shoe styles in one !

At £75 they aren't the cheapest of shoes but you definitely get what you pay for. The amount of detail that has been put into these beauts is worth the investment because you wouldn't take them off.

Overall I give 7 / 10.

I'll be back soon.

Shoes of the Week 12/03/13 - River Island White Cut Out High Tops

Hi guys

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. I just can't seem to keep on top of my work at the minute and my social life has gone crazy as we reach the end of term. This has meant my little blog has suffered and I apologise.

However, I have at least 2 planned posts for this week as I continue to try out what London has to offer. Tomorrow we are off to the Harry Potter Studio Tour ! I am super excited for this as I am a mega HP nerd and my whole family adores the books/films/franchise. Then this weekend we will (hopefully) be heading to London Zoo to go and see all the cute baby animals.

This weeks shoes were picked thanks to the (albeit, very brief) spring weather we encountered at the end of last week. Though, looking at the weather at the minute, some snow shoes might be more appropriate.

This weeks shoes are River Island White cut out peep toe high tops

Forget uncomfortable summer sandals that ruin your feel with blisters and give you a funny patterned tan on your feet and meet this summers saviour.

High top trainers meets summer fun in this combi shoe.

Designed to offer all the comfort of a trainer with flat rubber soles and lace up fronts they also offer the style of a holiday sandal with a peep toe front and no annoying tab to get in the way.

The cut out detailing and open front lets your feet breathe with ease. The lace ups means you actually get sandals that fit to your feet and the rubber soles means no more trips and slips as you manoeuvre along the beach or tread from festival to festival.

Emanating a clear 90s modern styling these shoes will look great with bleached hot pants and a crop top or leggings and a bikini on the beach.

At £50 they are a little pricey for a one summer wear shoe but as long as your on holiday you will want to look good.

If I was off abroad these gorgeous shoes would definitely be getting packed in my suitcase and for that reason I give them an 8/10.

I'll be back later on this week with my view of the Warner Brothers Studio Tour.

Shoes of the Week 03/03/13 - Hush Puppies Freya

Hi guys

My shoes of the week are Hush Puppies Freya

This weeks shoes are picked due to a recent bidding war on eBay. I have had my eye on these lovelies  since they were released but had a feeling they would appear for less than the rrp if I bided my time. Sure enough the Schuh shop had them in my size at a starting price of just £0.99.

5 days later (and a significant increase in my original bid) they were mine !

The detailing on these is truly exquisite. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland they feature heart cut outs along the outer edge, triple buckles straps and a rounded toe. A modest heel finishes these beauties off nicely creating a shoe that every little (and big) girl would be proud to wear.

This style comes in several colours including black , black and red patent and turquoise.

They look fabulous on and I know they will be almost permanently on my feet in the summer.

Overall I give a 9 / 10 - only because I know want another pair !

See you all soon
